The Leads

Deadly Notes has three major characters: Tanya, Arthur, and Agent King. Here are their actors.

Channon Ford plays the role of Tanya Miller, a local Austin artist who carves wooden figures and sells them from her table at an open-air market. When unexpected problems came up and the actress who was originally going to play Tanya couldn't finish the film, Channon stepped in, and she shone. She's talented and great to work with, and she helped us finally get this film wrapped! Channon has also performed in Sodom: The Prophecy Armageddon from Trinity Films, Fury from director Evan Hearn, The Art Gallery from Gibson Olson Productions, as well as two UT student films.

Lance Broadway plays the role of Arthur, the serial killer whose perfect poker face lets him waltz into a crime scene and chat with the FBI agent in charge of the investigation, then turn around and start stalking Tanya. Lance was impressive from the day he auditioned, showing up well before his audition appointment to make sure he could find the place with time to spare. He read for both Arthur and Agent King, but he did so well with the charming-yet-creepy act that there was only one role for him. Lance has also been in Shattered Reflections, directed by Austin Morales, Last Days of Oswald, directed by Brad Osborne, and One Vision, directed by Austin Podowski.

Mark Barreraz plays the role of Daniel King, the FBI Special Agent in charge of tracking down the "Post-it Note Killer". Mark is a talented actor and has been great to work with, especially with his willingness to drive to Austin from Odessa (a six-hour drive) to film! Mark has also performed in Chase from Bonanza Productions Inc., The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada directed by Tommy Lee Jones, and even the music video for "Country Song" by Seether.
